BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors

The Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award was established to give perpetual recognition to a Member business that contributes an extraordinary amount of organizational effort to the betterment of the community.

Although this award recognizes outstanding community service for the current year, due consideration is given for contributions made by businesses over past years.

In selecting the award recipient, criteria considered includes:

·        It is obvious the Company has a policy to give back to the community.

·        There is broad participation from the employees, management and ownership.

·        The scope of contributions to the community by the business.

This award is designed to honor a citizen of the Huron Valley area who has performed outstanding service for the betterment of the community through participation in civic, political, charitable, business, educational or other activities, over and above normal work assignments.  The honoree will be chosen based on the following criteria:

1.      The amount of personal effort involved by the citizen

2.      The results of the citizen’s efforts

3.      The extent of personal sacrifice

4.      The degree of selflessness and sincerity of motivation

5.      The uniqueness and originality of the citizen’s service      
            Although this award recognizes outstanding community service for the current year, consideration is given for contributions made by a resident in past years
            

CHAMBER VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

Kellie Hett

The Chamber Volunteer award is to recognize individuals who have provided a service for the Chamber by choice, without financial reimbursement, for the benefit of the community and the services the Chamber provides. These individuals go above and beyond in their dedication of their time and effort on projects, organizations and events.

Volunteer of the year criteria:

1. The amount of services provided by this person in a volunteer capacity.

2. The extent of person sacrifice

3. The degree of selflessness and sincerity or motivation for volunteering

4. The dedication to the betterment of the community we live in.

MILFORD MEMORIES VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

Dick Russell

The Milford Memories volunteer awards is to recognize individuals who have provided a continual service by choice, without financial reimbursement, for the benefit of the community via Milford Memories Summer Festival. These individuals go above and beyond in their dedication of their time and effort on the event.

MM Volunteer of the year criteria:

1. The amount of services provided by this person in a volunteer capacity.

2. The extent of person sacrifice

3. The degree of selflessness and sincerity or motivation for volunteering

4. The dedication to the betterment of the community we live in
